yorkshire bowlees walk

22. Yorkshire Bowlees 22nd August 2013

Now you’d think we’d be too tired for another walk after our 15 mile walk the day beore but the with the Morrit’s home grown breakfast inside us we were ready for fresh trails. We drove to the Bowlees visitors centre parked up and headed for the Leap Bridge on the river Tees. Over the bridge and north west on the Penine way now passing the Low Force waterfall, the river is spectacular. Large rocks creating fast flowing rapids. Passing a few islands and up to High force, looking down on it is quite a view attracting many visitors. A drink on the other side at the High Force hotel ( what else were they going to name it?) Away from the hotel north east to Dirt Pit Farm across moors and fields and back to the car.
