59. Holmesfield and Cowley Bar. 2nd June 2014.

Parking on Rumblings Street opposite Allen Wood we headed east along the road taking the 2nd path on the left beyond the farm buildings. Walking through fields and Dobb Meadow Wood and out onto Bradley Lane. Taking a left, then immediate right, on a path that crosses over Dunston Brook onto Highlightly Lane.Yeah right and then left across more fields with Great Brind Wood on the left. At the crossroads of paths take a left heading for Cartledge and onto Holmesfield. Join the B6054 turning right into Holmesfield and onto the Rutland Arms where alcahol was consumed. Heading southeast down Cowley Lane. Just before Greenfield Farm taking a right and the path to Barlow Lees Farm cross the road to the farm taking a right fork following the path through Lees Plantation and to a dam to watch fishermen and dragonflies while we ate our lunch. Then across the dam to Commonside. Joining the road and heading for Barlow Common and The Hare and Hounds. We backtracked a little up the road taking a left over Barlow Common keeping west then north west back on to Far Lane then west back down to the car..
